Vodafone Idea Appoints Sanjay Jolly as EVP Technology, Hub Operations

Vodafone Idea announced that it has appointed Sanjay Jolly as Executive Vice President (EVP) - Technology, Hub Operations.

The telco made the announcement via a LinkedIn post. Vodafone Idea said, “he is a seasoned professional and has diverse experience in heading large-scale customer operations, managing comprehensive network rollout and technology transformation programs”.

Incidentally, this comes days after Vi appointed Reema Jain as the Chief Digital Officer of the company. The telco has made a second major appointment within the space of a week.

India's third largest telco has seen a number of high-profile executives leaving the company in the last few months. These exits include ex-CTO Vishant Vora, former legal head Kumar Das, ex-brand officer Kavita Nair, and chief technology security officer.

At the same time, it has attracted senior talent as well. First, Jagbir Singh joined as the new CTO. The telco also appointed Vivek Jain as the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Mathan Babu Kasilingam as Executive Vice President of Technology Security. Furthermore, Tanuja Rai Pradhan also joined the telco as head of customer insights in marketing.

Notably, the telco is yet to post its last quarter figures. It is the third largest telco in the country, behind Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, with almost a quarter of the market share in terms of subscribers.
