NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has launched a new series of smartphone called V series in India, targeting the mid-segment smartphone category with the price range of Rs 15,000-20,000.
The first model launched in the series is vivo V1.
Alex Feng, CEO of Vivo SmartPhone India, said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of our new smartphone series. With ‘V’ Series we bring unbeatable proposition, price and products in the mid-segment category. Our first device in the category, vivo V1 incorporates cutting-edge technologies, exclusive music features and the highest quality camera shots.”
Talking about specifications, the dual sim smartphone sports a 5-inch HD screen (1080x1920p) and sports a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera.
Powered by a 64-bit quad core Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB RAM, the smartphone offers 16GB of internal storage and can support microSD cards of up to 128GB.
Vivo V1 runs Android Lollipop 5.0-based Funtouch OS 2.1 and packs a 2,300mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the phone offers support for 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The availability and pricing details of the phone are yet to be revealed.
