Videocon plans to tie-up with NSN for 4G LTE rollout

Videocon Mobile Services has announced plans to tie-up with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for 4G LTE rollout.

On the sidelines of the recently concluded Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, Videocon Mobile Services represented by Arvind Bali, director and CEO; S Krishnan, director and group CTO; and Illangovan G director and CFO, have had an in-principle agreement with Sandeep Girotra, head of India region, NSN, to tie up for Videocon's 4G network rollout.

Arvind Bali, director and CEO at Videocon Mobile Services said, "We intend to engage Nokia Siemens Networks as our technology partner for our 4G network rollout in the country. The partnership will be a revolutionary step in bringing next generation of efficient mobile broadband services. 4G network is capable of providing comprehensive IP based telecom solutions that allows voice, data and streamed multimedia services in a seamless manner at much higher data speed than the existing generation network including 2G and 3G.

Going forward the company plans to address consumer requirements of enhanced data service experience including video chat, mobile TV, HDTV content, digital video broadcasting added Bali.
