Vodafone launches remote connect suite

Vodafone Business Services (VBS) has launched a remote connect suite to meet the need of enterprises to connect remote locations.

This will enable enterprises to connect business partners, expand business reach, and extend connectivity to travelling employees. The noteworthy benefit of this suite of services for CIO is to improve network uptime by creating back up connectivity.

With these, the company will unearth the true potential of VPN connectivity demand of India enterprises.

"This bouquet of integrated services for businesses aims to ensure uninterrupted and secured communication and will empower Indian enterprises to keep pace with the evolution in digital communication. It will help us unearth the true potential of VPN connectivity demand of Indian enterprises. Vodafone endeavors to offer products and services that focus on varied aspects of the Indian Enterprises' telecommunications requirements," said Naveen Chopra, director, Vodafone Business Services.

"The new service will offer customized solutions for enterprises which is over and above the services offered under wireline portfolio, which include Private Leased Circuits (National and International), Internet Leased Lines, Office Wireline Voice and Audio Conferencing Services. The services available under remote connect suite include IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, Dial up VPN, and MPLS VPN with 2G/3G API Solution," the company said in a statement.

IPsec VPN will allow enterprises to connect locations over Internet through Secure IPSec gateway deployed by Vodafone. It is Internet Service Provider agnostic and supports Dynamic VTI, data encryption over Internet (Support for IKEv2 encryption) and Dead Peer Detection (DPD), it added.

"SSL VPN will enable enterprises to connect locations over Internet through SSL gateway deployed by Vodafone. It helps in anytime, anywhere access via Web Browser and comes with a self-care portal for IT administrator to enable various policy settings. It has Application Layer Security making it a very secure virtual platform," the statement said.

"Dial up VPN will allow enterprises to connect locations over ISDN through NRAS gateway deployed by Vodafone. It is ISDN network provider agnostic and supports L2TP & PPP protocol," it said.

In addition, MPLS VPN with 2G/3G API solution will help enterprises to connect locations over 2G/3G network. It offers a private dedicated APN for each customer which is highly secure vis - a - vis a shared APN solution. It is easy to install and deploy and has a quick turnaround time.
