Bangalore based mobile marketing firm, mGinger.com is acquired by its partner ValueFirst, a digital media company. This acquisition enables ValueFirst to add another 4 million highly profiled opted-in registered users to its existing 50 million users.
ValueFirst's focus on priority is to scale its media business. It has undecided on the mGinger's deals and is evaluating on the deals segment of mGinger. The company intends to extend the permission based approach to market beyond sms to various platforms like internet, voice and email. Vish Bajaj, MD, ValueFirst said, "In the recent months, mGinger had pivoted to promoting deals. We are evaluating what to do with the deals part of the business and will currently focus on scaling their media business.”
