Considering that the 5G rollout in India is still in progress and that Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel want to provide nationwide coverage by the end of the year, it is understandable why India was unable to crack the top 10. It is important to note that the United Arab Emirates deployed commercial 5G in 2019, which is 4 years earlier than India.

On October 1st, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the availability of 5G in India at the India Mobile Congress held in Delhi. It is anticipated that by the end of 2023, 75% of the population will have access to the fifth-generation cellular network, which is currently operational across the nation.

However, India has been installing 5G at an incredible rate when compared to what other developed nations have seen. With two major telcos, Jio and Airtel's investments, 5G is now almost available in every town and city in India, and users who are already paying for 4G services can enjoy it for free.
