Tusmobil is transforming network to offer improved mobile broadband services and as a first step in the direction, it has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to implement world's first all-IP HSPA+ network running IPv6 and Direct Tunnel. Tusmobil d.o.o. is expanding its 3G network to provide peak rates of up to 21 megabits per second (Mbps) to customers. The operator is simplifying its network and improving its coverage by migrating to an all-IP, HSPA+ network on the 900 MHz frequency band. The Slovenian operator has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to implement the expansion with its award-winning Flexi Multiradio Base Station, FlexiPacket Microwave and complete IP-backhaul platform.
Nokia Siemens Networks is responsible for the supply, deployment and integration of the operator's IP-network. Under the scope of the three-year deal, it will implement the Radio Access Network (RAN) based on its award-winning Flexi Multiradio Base Station and FlexiPacket Microwave across the country. This will reduce the operator's operational costs, improve energy efficiency, and enhance coverage quality and reach.Nokia Siemens Networks will also provide network implementation services including construction works, as well as care services for the operator.In addition, it will provide network optimization and management solutions based on its NetAct system.
