TRAI launches Consumer Complaint System

Telecom regulator TRAI has launched a grievance redressal mechanism for the telecom service consumers wherein they can find the 'Customer Care Number','General Information Number' and contact details of various service providers. Called as Telecom Consumers Complaint Monitoring System or TCCMS, the tool would also help monitoring the status of the complaints lodged with the service provider complaints center.

The portal, www.tccms.gov.in, would also help consumers access the website of their service provider’s complaint monitoring portal to track the current status of their complaints or appeals lodged with their service provider complaint center or Appellate Authority.

With this mechanism, TRAI could also monitor the status of redressal of complaints lodged by the consumers with the service providers.
