Touchtel Offers Tarriff Combo Plan for the DSL Subscribers

Touchtel has introduced a new tariff package targeted at the residential and SMEs segment. The new Combo package offers a combination DSL along with voice usage at a fixed monthly rental of Rs 2000 only. The Touchtel subscribers opting for this package would be entitled to exclusive 1,500 voice telephone pulses and 50 hours of Internet surfing on their Touchtel phone line. Touchtel subscriber would only have to pay Rs 4500 for the USB modem as against the original price of Rs 8000 and can save up to over 50 percent on the equipment cost. Touchtel would also convert the security deposit for the phone line of the existing Touchtel subscribers into the Zipnet DSL registration charges.

According to Rohtash Mal, CEO, Touchtel Delhi, "This new Combo plan of Zipnet targets the ultimate home surfer or the SMEs who wants unconditional access to the Internet at affordable rates. From a dipstick study done on home surfers, it was known that vanilla parlors, predominantly on the dial-up mode, catered to their needs, albeit slow access speeds and uneconomical charges. This new tariff plan offers such users a combination of round-the-clock Internet connection and a Touchtel phone line at very affordable rates". Zipnet is available in a bandwidth package of 64 kbps, 128 kbps, 256 kbps and 512 kbps respectively. Zipnet does not require any additional line provisioning.
