What does Amdoc's acquisition mean for Cramer?
Driven by large OSS transformation projects, the OSS market represents a
significant growth opportunity for Amdocs. As service providers recognize that
the OSS is an essential part of the move to next-generation networks and
converged service delivery, they are investing heavily in modernizing,
streamlining and transforming their OSS infrastructures. With the acquisition,
Amdocs will expand its current OSS offerings to become a leader in this space
and will be well positioned to capitalize on the market opportunity.
In addition, as a result of acquiring Cramer, Amdocs is now the only company
to deliver an end-to-end solution spanning the BSS and the OSS, combining
complete visibility of the customer, the service and the network. This allows
service providers to transition from legacy to next-generation networks at lower
cost and lower risk and to launch new converged services that turn network
investment into services revenue more quickly.
Post Amdocs acquisition, what would be your go-to-market strategy?
Both Amdocs and Cramer operate in same segments, but fortunately there is no
overlap in product lines of both the companies. There is a synergy in the
product line, which adds value to our customers. Together, Cramer and Amdocs
deliver the most complete and comprehensive service and resource management,
driving process automation across planning, fulfillment and assurance functions
market relevance.
Don't you think customers would be in a dilemma since both companies
provide OSS solutions?
It's boon for our customers actually. We now provide end-to-end solutions
to our customers. And the good thing with our solutions is that they are
compatible with any vendor product. We have expanded our product suite with
unparalleled BSS/OSS process management capabilities-aligning processes with
complete visibility of customers, services and technology across the
organization.
Inventory management was an important aspect of Cramer's product
offerings. Do you see any synergy with Amdocs' product line?
After Amdocs' acquisition, we see from number of perspectives that we are
going to achieve a new level of critical mass in the marketplace. We have a more
coherent road map and articulately described strategy for supporting horizontal
integration of inventory systems. We think that inventory management is the
center of the OSS universe and that all OSS integration should start with
inventory. Though it is very much similar to what ERP and CRM vendors has to
offer, but in telecom, that doesn't work well. We provide complete inventory
solutions to service providers' needs.
