Telekom Austria selects Ericsson for managed services

Telekom Austria Group has selected Ericsson as its exclusive partner to manage the field operations of mobile access and transmission networks, including facilities and infrastructure of base station and core network sites, in Bulgaria and Slovenia.

As part of the five year agreement, about 70 employees working in Mobiltel Bulgaria and Si.mobil Slovenia will be joining Ericsson as of April 2012.

The Swedish company will take responsibility for the operations, ensuring that the networks are run with the highest quality and securing a smooth transition for the staff into Ericsson.

Ericsson has invested more than $1 billion in tools, methods and processes in order to help its customers increase efficiency.
