Teleca, Texas Instruments to bring dual display support to Android

Teleca has been working closely with Texas Instruments to bring a new user experience to Android. By extending key aspects of the Android platform such as the graphics framework, including components such as Surface Flinger, a demonstration platform has been created to enable applications to run independently on a second display. This has been made possible by leveraging the combination of Teleca's experience with Android and the power of the OMAP 4 platform from Texas Instruments. Andrew Till, Vice President-solutions marketing, Teleca, said, "We believe that implementing support for dual display support for Android is an exciting development for the consumer electronics markets as device vendors seek new ways to differentiate their offerings.
