Tata Teleservices launches ppost-paid Internet service

Tata Teleservices Ltd, becomes the first private operator of the
sub-continent to launch post-paid Internet services on a regular telephone line
with the launch of NetReady Internet service. "A customer can access the
Internet and pat the bill later along with the telephone bill. The NetReady
Internet charges are billed monthly to the customer as a part of Tata
Teleservices phone bill," said Ajay Pandey, COO, Tata Teleservices Ltd. The
customers can use the Tata Teleservices NetReady Internet Service by registering
with Tata Teleservices. The pre-requisite for using this service is that the
applicant must have one Tattoo Teleservices telephone connection (wireless,
fixed wireless or mobitel). The customer can use the DoT telephone connection
too for accessing the Internet as long as there is a billing relationship with
Tata Teleservices. The customer is given a password, which enables him to access
the services whenever he needs to surf the net.

The service is available by paying a one-time annual registration fee of Rs
100. The customer will then have two service-packages to choose from.Surf@ease
package offers customers access at Rs 11 per hour Surf@unlimited
offers the customers unlimited usage at Rs 330 per month. Customers can also
avail of 50 per cent discount on usage while accessing on Sundays and during
11pm and 7 am on all days.
