Tata Telecom becomes Avaya GlobalConnect

Tata Telecom has reconstituted its board of directors and subsequently, approved the proposal to rename the company as Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. The new board of the company will include: Mark Leigh, president, Avaya Asia Pacific; Niru Mehta vice chairman, Tata Telecom; David P Johnson, group vice president, small and medium business solutions, Avaya; Francis M Scricco, group vice president, Avaya Global Services; Amar Pai, vice president, finance operations and corporate controller, Avaya; S Ramakrishnan, managing director, Tata Teleservices; Pradeep Mallick, adviser to several companies; and CB Bhave, managing director, national securities depository.

The newly appointed board also elected Leigh as the chairman of the new entity, Avaya GlobalConnect. Avaya GlobalConnect will continue to offer converged communications solutions to its customers.
