Sterlite To Enhance BSNL's Network

Sterlite Optical announced that it has received a contract from BSNL for
manufacture and supply of high fiber count Ribbon Fiber Optic Cables. These
cables would be installed in BNSL's pan-India optical fiber access network (OAN).
The contract is valued at Rs 380 Million and supplies would be completed within
the next 6 months.

Sterlite ribbon-lite fiber optic cables are suitable for installation in
cable ducts. These cables are ideally suited for bandwidth rich networks and are
typically installed in the access network. The cables are designed to operate
from -30 deg C to +70 deg C, thus spanning all possible deployment conditions.
These cables provide an efficient means to achieve high fiber density, as well
as reduce the time per fiber required for installation.
