Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), which provides telecom services under the MTS brand, has appointed Umesh Durve as the chief operating officer of Karnataka Circle.
Meanwhile, Siraj Abbasi will be responsible for the company’s business in UP West circle.
Durve and Abbasi will report to Dmitry Shukov, CEO, MTS India.

Prior to joining MTS India, Durve was associated with Bharti Airtel as vice president of market operations. He holds over 23 years of industry experience with expertise in sales and distribution, product marketing and market plan execution. He has diversified experience in FMCG, automobile and telecom industry.
Abbasi worked with Reliance Communications before this stint. He has over 20 years of experience in sales, distribution management, business development, channel management, key account management and team management
in telecom and FMCG industries. He is known for developing strong business relationships with customers and has experience in managing large accounts and territories.
