Spectranet, the Delhi-based broadband service provider, has finally been sold to Tatas.
While the exact consideration for the sale is not known, it is reportedly in the region of
Rs 215-20 crore. Company officials could not be contacted for their comments. In fact, the Tatas have
already taken over one of the real estate properties of Spectranet here in Delhi.The company has been on the
block for more than six months. Eearlier, there were reports of Bharti and even BPL showing interest in
the company but the deals did not get through as the Spectranet promoters did not get the price they were
looking for.
