Spanco to operate 376 CSCs in Punjab

Spanco, a company providing technology infrastructure has won the bid for implementing, managing and operating Common Service Centres (CSC) for 3 zones in the state of Punjab.

The project is a part of core infrastructure, and is focussed on achieving citizen centric governance under national egovernance plan.The company has been selected as Service Centre Agency (SCA) for a period of 5 years and will operate 376 CSCs in Mansa, Bhatinda, Moga, Muktsar, Faridkot and Ferozepur.

The company under the contract will be responsible for site preparation, maintenance of civil infrastructure, maintenance of digital infrastructure, selection and training of Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE), security, branding and awareness, and operations management for the duration of the project.

The company's objective as an SCA will include, providing of speedy and efficient services in compliance with the service level to the users, without any discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste or sex; making the interaction easy for the citizens and other stake holders t with the government, and educating the users about the relevant procedures.
