Nelco Limited, a Tata Group company and one of India’s leading satellite communication service providers, listed on the equity segment of BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, has entered into an agreement with Eutelsat (ISIN: FR0010221234 – listed on Euronext Paris and the London Stock Exchange: ETL) to provide OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity services across the Indian region.
Under this partnership, Nelco will collaborate with OneWeb India Communications, Eutelsat’s local operating entity, to deliver secure, low-latency LEO connectivity solutions for customers on land, at sea, and in the air. The service will cover India’s territory, including its borders, territorial waters, and remote areas, supporting a wide array of secure applications for government and enterprise use.
These services are expected to significantly enhance India's digital infrastructure and national security, while also providing much-needed connectivity to underserved and remote regions. Nelco is well-positioned to offer these services as soon as the OneWeb LEO network becomes commercially operational in India.
