Snapdeal.com launches green campaign

Snapdeal.com, e-commerce portal in association with a NGO, Grow-Trees launches green campaign to plant a tree at Rs 5 on the occasion of World Earth Day on April 22, 2012.

To participate in this initative, customers will have to pay Rs 5 on Snapdeal.com and a tree would be planted by Grow-Trees in the areas of Tegra, Karech, Thadi Beri and Dhimdi in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. Customers will get an e-certificate for every tree that is planted.

Grow-Trees.com is a web enabled social enterprise, working on areas like offsetting carbon emissions, improving wildlife habitats, and upgrading water catchment areas.
