ShoreTel hires Arun Balasubramaniam as country manager of India

NEW DELHI: US-based ShoreTel has appointed Arun Balasubramaniam as country manager of India. In his role, Arun is responsible for building relationships and driving sales for ShoreTel in India.

He is overseeing sales strategy from customer acquisition to retention, as well as partner recruitment and management in the region.

Arun brings more than 16 years of technology industry experience having worked extensively with leading government, banking, telecommunications and information technology enterprises and channel partners throughout India and South Asia.

Prior to joining ShoreTel, Arun was the national channel leader for IBM’s Collaboration Solutions business in India and South Asia, and has also held roles at TrendMicro and Microsoft.

“Arun has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with channels and partners, which will significantly contribute to our goal of expansion in a rapidly growing market. His appointment is part of a strategic plan to strengthen our investment and sales in India,” said Frederic Gillant, vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific at ShoreTel.

“I look forward to working with Frederic and the team to further our plans to grow customers and partners in India,” said Arun.

Arun holds an MBA in marketing and finance and is based in ShoreTel’s Bangalore office.
