Schneider offers Infrastruxure for SMBs

How about setting up a compact server space beside your work station? SMB/ MSMEs can now opt for a compact server space without compromising on performance, efficiency or maintenance. Schneider Electric is all set to tap Indian server room market worth Rs 1,000 crore in 2013. The company has today launched rack solutions, ‘Infrastruxure for SMB IT' which comes with sound-proof, pre-engineered, rack-based power and cooling systems, movable, lockable, power distribution, and power protection. Besides, the company has also introduced remote monitoring solution.

"With the ever evolving IT infrastructure in the SMB space , end users are looking at solution mixes that can be easily installed, configured and integrated into either the existing IT infrastructure or new build outs. ISX for SMB IT meets the critical IT needs of small businesses allowing customers more time to focus on their core business," said Shrinivas Chebbi, vice president, Schneider Electric, India and SAARC. He further added that ISX reduces total cost of ownership by 20%, slashes energy consumption by 20% and optimizes space by 30%.

With this ISX for SMB IT solution, Schneider Electric aims to target segments including regional offices, retail branches, government offices, educational institutions, hospitality, banks, healthcare and home offices.

  • Rack solution comes with integrated cooling, noise dampening, and power distribution for server and network applications in office environments. 
  • It ensures higher performance phase I power protection with scalable runtime with small footprint. 
  • It conforms to DIN 41494 and EIA 310. It allows easy onsite assembly and light weight navigation through stairways. It comes with top and bottom cable entry positions, and removable side panels with slam latch.
  • Rack solution is offered with add-on products and service capabilities which enable customers to integrate additional external batteries, isolation transformer, upgrade to metered or switched outlets and to remotely monitor the complete infrastructure.
