In order to implement its growth plans in Bangladesh, SAP has recently partnered with Computer Services (CSL), to cater to the demands of the industry. CSL has about twenty-three years of experience in offering services to the country.

This partnership will equip SAP to provide customers with end-to-end enterprise applications and business intelligence platform that help in significantly reducing total cost of ownership, while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to support business model innovation and rapid new service introduction: informed Ajay Turki, head, telecommunication, SAP Indian sub-continent told VOICE&DATA.

“With approximately 52 mn existing subscribers and several more potentials, the necessity to provide comprehensive value added services and excellent customer satisfaction is intensifying the competition amongst service providers. SAP ensures cutting-edge business solutions and continued service innovation to them,” he said.
Upbeat about the company's performance in India, Turki said that Indian developments are quite engaging. “Almost every operator in the country is a client, there are some which are yet to be brought on board.”

The biggest challenge for the Indian operator today is to increase profitability. SAP has been adopting a verticalized approach to resolve issues of the telcos.

Talking about the new opportunities in India, Turki said that 3G and MNP will completely change the telecom ecosystem. “Real-time monitoring and customer loyalty will be critical to the operators in the times ahead,” he said.

“In India, we are seeing a trend beyond ERP. Everyone wants everything on mobile devices, thus, more applications need to be integrated and a major thrust will be on data,” Turki concluded.
