Santosh Bijur to head Verizon Data Services India

Verizon Communications has appointed Santosh Bijur as the managing director of Verizon Data Services India, the IT development center of Verizon in India.

In his new role, he will lead a 6,000-member workforce in Chennai and Hyderabad and will be responsible for Verizon's India IT strategy & operations to create value for the corporation.

Santosh replaces Rahul Saxena as he moves to U.S. taking the new role of vice president - Strategy, Development & Planning at Verizon's headquarters.

Prior to his new appointment, Santosh served as head of IT delivery for call center self service systems. He joined Verizon 10 years ago, has 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked in the U.S. for Sprint, MCI and GTE. He holds a U.S. patent in the area of call center management technology.
