RT Outsourcing, which recently announced its foray into the global contact centre business with a 250 seat centre, will soon hire 50 professionals for its core contact centre operations — tech support. The company, formerly known as Resource Technology, has been in the business of developing and managing contact centres for corporations like HP, Compaq, Toshiba, HECL, Xerox, Cannon, Verifone, NCR etc for the past six years. It is now establishing a 250-seat technical contact center to cater to international business in addition to its existing domestic business. In the first phase 100 seats will be operational by end December 2001, which will be expanded to 250 seats by next year. The company has received its first round of venture capital funding from National Venture Fund for Software and IT (NFSIT), which is promoted by the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India and managed by SIDBI Venture Capital Limited (SVCL). The company expects to earn five million dollars from the operations in the next financial year.
