Reliance Infratel CEO SP Shukla resigns

Reliance Infratel president and CEO SP Shukla has moved out of the company. Shukla has not disclosed his future plans. In the recent times a couple of top executives, Arun Sur and Jagbir Singh, had quit Reliance Communications to pursue new opportunities.

Shukla said in an email that he “was fortunate to have seen the sector grow from scratch, when no roof tops had yet been rented for the towers, and no electronics or handsets had yet been ordered in India.” He noted that during those days it was just two mobile licensees each in the 4 metros, all busy strategizing as to how to go about setting up an altogether new industry.
