New Update

The newly launched Reliance 3G tablet is one of the cheapest options available in the highly competitive tablet market. The tablet manufactured by ZTE Corporation gives an impression of average looks when unboxed and weighs about 400 g as compared to that of 700 g of iPad, which makes it easy to carry around. The build quality of the tablet is not up to the mark with the quality of the plastic used being low. The tablet comes with a 7 inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 800x400 pixels. However it does not deliver a satisfactory performance when it comes to sharpness of the screen, particularly in bright light, and it becomes a hard task to view the screen in sunlight. But watching movies and pics indoor is not troublesome. The touch sensitivity of the screen ranks in fair category; however it could have been better but with this price tag it's worth it.

Hardware-wise, the tablet has an 800 MHz processor with 512 MB RAM generating power with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform operating system, which adds to many new features on the tablet. It has a 2 megapixel camera at the rear that captures average-quality images and is nothing special. The front-facing VGA camera is fair enough for video calls. While playing high-quality 720 pixel videos the tablet often hangs because of the insufficient RAM. And, 1080 pixel videos didn't play at all. The tablet is capable of multitasking, however, too much of it leads to slowing down of its performance.

On the connectivity-front, the tablet comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and a USB port 2.0 to access the internet. The files can be directly dragged and dropped in the tablet enhancing ease in terms of file transfer. The tablet offers the facility of being a Wi-Fi hotspot, which at this price tag is surprising.

The most impressive feature of the tablet is its browsing speed. With RCom's vast and uninterrupted network coverage high-quality video streaming becomes a child's task with this tablet, and with the company providing subsidized 3G plans this tablet becomes an ultimate internet machine at an affordable price point.

The Android market is a vast space to get the apps and games for the machine enhancing its capabilities. The games on the tablet lacked the presence of crisp graphics and the average resolution of the screen added to it. The inbuilt news and weather application performs its task pretty well providing weather information and news of different categories using the high-speed internet connection.

The phone has other inbuilt features like Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, Gtalk, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc, which provides a lot of convenience to the user as they can be accessed on a single touch.

The battery backup of the tablet is another feature that makes the buyer not to regret after getting this product. The video playback is about 7 hours and standby time lasts for about 100 hours, which is not 'that bad'. The sound quality of the tablet is good enough to watch movies and to listen to songs with the presence of Dolby Mobile settings upgrading the bass. It doesn't disappoint in giving a cinematic experience.

Overall this tablet with an extremely competitive price stands useful to the consumer segment looking for low-end tablet options, and those who don't expect eye-gleaming quality. RCom is offering various 3G plans, including the monthly as well as yearly plans as super-value combo offer. The buyer can choose his data usage ranging from 1 GB, 2 GB, and 5 GB on discounted prices.
