RBS names Punit Sood as head of Technology for India

NEW DELHI: The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has appointed Punit Sood as its new Head of Technology for its Global Hub in India.

Punit will be responsible for building greater capability within Technology India as the bank continues its journey towards becoming number one for customer service, trust and advocacy.

He will report to Patrick Eltridge, Chief Information Officer, RBS, and form part of the Global Hub India leadership team.

Punit brings over 25 years of experience in Information Technology leadership roles across multiple industries. He joins RBS from JP Morgan Chase, where he drove strategy and delivery within the JPMC Global Service Centre and supported all technology initiatives from the India banking business. During the course of his career, Punit has held key positions at Citibank, Mphasis and GE Capital Services.

Speaking on the appointment, Patrick Eltridge, Chief Information Officer, RBS, said, “A bank is run on technology.
