Axes Technologies, a subsidiary of Axes Technologies Inc. Dallas, is a
completely focused software developer in the telecommunications sector. The
Indian arm is a 100-percent EOU and offers services for both telecom equipment
vendors and service providers. It offers offshore software development (embedded
and application level software), QA and test automation hardware system design,
product support, and network operations traffic engineering services among other
things. Initially, it did dedicated work for Alcatel. But it has now increased
its client base. The company, on account of these services, did a total revenue
of Rs 76.38 crore. This has been one of the few companies that have grown
significantly during the recession times. Its recorded a 100 percent growth over
the previous year. 

Among the key successes on the product side, Axes completes
field trial of its enterprise media gateway and IP PBX with one of India’s
leading enterprises. It also signed an agreement with a leading next-generation
equipment start-up in the US to deliver telecom software development and testing
services for next-generation DLC and VoIP capabilities.

Axes’ success came due to its expertise in switch building products, in
providing custom solutions for niche segments like cellular gateways, personal
communications networks, intelligent services, and VPNs. Almost all of its
revenues during the year came from the US.
