SWOT
STRENGTH

Long presence in India with strong product line

WEAKNESS

No reach in "B" and "C" class cities

OPPORTUNITY

New market and Internet-related segments

THREAT

From companies like D-Link which can bundle the active components along
with the passive components

During the last fiscal, its revenues grew by 48.37 percent
with estimated sales of Rs 36.5 crore. The impressive growth can be attributed
to its strong training, logistics support, bonded warehouse, and cordial
channels or distribution partnerships on one side, and its heavy investment in
manufacturing on the other.

A major proof of the company’s leadership in technology
comes from its customer profile, especially when majority of the software
development centres considers it as the preferred vendor. It has continuously
introduced newer high-performance products.

In yet another strategic move last year, it launched AMP
Netconnect services to provide value-added services to the

customers. This is considered a positive trend by analysts as it is becoming a
key issue where subcontracting of the cabling order by integrators is not
preferred. Tech Pacific and Compuage Electronics were added as its distributors,
besides Ramco.

This year, its strategy of providing value-added solutions and its
positioning as an infrastructure solutions company should enable it to grow by
over 100 percent. It plans to do that by launching small factor fibre products,
increase the reseller base by having presence in "B" and "C"
class cities, expand the SAARC presence, etc.
