STRENGTH Owns India’s only B2B Internet backbone; has its own network in 14 countries WEAKNESS OPPORTUNITY THREAT |
GECS plans to integrate all players within a particular
industry in one net chain. It has created a unique network, to link automobile
companies, with dealers and suppliers in the country. It has also created a
cargo community network linking air cargo agents, airlines, customs, clearing
house agents, banks, exporters and importers in one single ring.
GECS also offers virtual private network services where
corporate clients can use a part of the public Internet backbone as dedicated
network to rout their private traffic, improving delivery time and security of
data transfer. As networks get more and more complicated, many companies will
outsource the entire service to a provider which offers managed data network
services. GECS plans to play an important role in this niche segment, creating
and running the whole network–including intranet, extranet and VPN–for
corporate clients.
GECS is offering a datacentre facility in Navi Mumbai. This datacentre is
equipped with high-end servers with scalable hardware and customized software
and network management solutions.
