Despite
poor flow of investments in the public networks during the year, it registered
impressive growth in terms of both profits and revenues. The company has posted
a turnover of Rs 63.48 crore in 1999-00 showing a growth rate of 14 percent.
This growth was largely attributed to the utility segment.

Supreme has over the years emerged as a multi-service
integrator in communications and IT. It has recently opened a branch office in
Pune. The company’s core competency lies in the implementation of optical
fibre communication systems, digital networks, microwave and wireless
communication systems, and cellular mobile communication systems. It has a
successful implementation track record of many medium- to large-sized voice and
data networks for both public and private networks. It caters to the needs of
private basic and cellular service operators, ISPs, major utilities and other
important user groups such as banks and hotel chains.
During the year, Supreme executed a countrywide voice and data using
microwave and VSAT links for ONGC. Other major projects implemented were optical
fibre-based voice and data networks for Railways, optical fibre-based networks
for voice, data and SCADA for Indian Oil, and infrastructure projects for basic
and cellular operators and ISPs. Besides, it also has ongoing projects including
the GSM network for Lucent, BPL US (West), Nokia and Evergrowth in the states of
Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Punjab.
