Rank 57: Delton Cables Ltd

Established in the year 1948, Delton Cable, was the first
private sector company to venture into the field of Jelly Filled Telecom Cables
(JFTC). Apart from telecom, its other sources of business are the power,
Railways, steel, and mining sectors. An ISO 9002 company, Delton now offers
total telecom solution products from conventional telecom cables to microwave
accessories. It owns two factories, one in Faridabad and the other at Dharuhera.

Delton is one of the very few cable companies with a varied
product-profile. While the larger portion of business comes from JFTC, Delton
also manufactures aerial, switchboard, drop wire, LAN, Ethernet, and computer
cables. Besides, it also has cable products for the non-telecom sector.

Apart from the DoT, MTNL, ITI and Centre for Development of
Telematics, Delton has an impressive client base consisting of leading private
sector names like Alcatel, Seimens, Ericsson, Reliance, and Fujitsu.

The company has a well-equipped R&D facility. The advanced manufacturing
facilities and sophisticated instrumentation, has helped the "Delton"
brand carve for itself, a niche in national and international markets. The
Department of Space, Government of India, recognized Delton’s contribution in
the successful launch of ASLV-D.
