PTCL bags award for best operator in South Asia

State owned Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), the largest telecom operator in Pakistan has been awarded with the international SAMENA award 2011, for being the best telecom operator in South Asia.

The award has been certified on the basis of its internationally recognized standards of business by Crowe Horwath, a global accounting and business network.

“I take this occasion to extend my sincere and warmest appreciation and congratulations to all PTCL employees at all levels for their hard and diligent work in winning this prestigious annual award,” said Walid Irshaid, CEO&President, PTCL after receiving the award.

The SAMENA telecommunications council, based in Dubai aims to promote telecom innovations in its member regions and provides facilities for knowledge sharing amongst regional telecom entities.
