EMC Unveils IP Telephony Management Solution
EMC has unveiled solutions for managing VoIP and IP telephony environments.
With EMC Smarts VoIP Performance Manager and EMC Smarts VoIP Performance
Reporter, customers can maximize the availability and performance of
business-critical VoIP services through comprehensive monitoring, alerting,
diagnosis, and reporting on all aspects of a system that may impact IP telephony
services. With EMC Smarts software, which analyzes data from multiple sources to
pinpoint the root cause of IT infrastructure problems automatically and in
real-time, enables companies to more effectively maximize the availability and
performance of critical IT resources and the business services (such as VoIP)
they support.
NETGEAR Launches ReadyNAS
NETGEAR has added another product to its NETGEAR ReadyNAS family called NETGEAR
ReadyNAS RNR4475 100EUS 1100. It is an easy-to-use SAN box that is ideal for
departments, workgroups and branch offices. The latest product comes with
embedded Linux operating system. ReadyNAS RNR4475 comes with 4 Hot Swappable
750GB HDD in a ultra-short 12 inch 1U rack mount design in which HDD are
initialized and system is pre-configured in RAID 5 mode for immediate use. It is
compatible with SATA and SATAII HDD.
Cisco's New Next-Gen Wireless
Cisco has introduced integrated 802.11n solution designed to combine
superior wireless performance and reliability with simplicity of deployment.
Solution includes the modular Cisco Aironet 1250 Series access point, the first
enterprise-class 11n access point available on the market, as well as the 48
Gbps scalable Cisco Catalyst 6500-based wireless local-area network controller
system, and wired and wireless services with the Unified Wireless Network
Release 4.2. Cisco will also deliver, via its family of Catalyst switches, the
ability to fully power the dual-radio Aironet 1250 Series from a single Ethernet
port.
O2 Launches Xda Flame
O2 has introduced the Xda Flame, the company's latest product. The Xda
Flame is the first PDA-phone to harness the full multimedia capabilities of a 3D
graphics processor. IT has NVIDIA GoForce 5500 graphics processing unit. With
this the Xda Flame also becomes the first PDA-phone to feature two processors,
the other being an Intel CPU. Its touch panel supports 262K colors at 480x640
dots resolution. It can be hooked up to a TV or computer screen via its TV-out
connector feature. It has a 2.0 mega pixel camera. The Xda Flame will retail
this month at Rs 39,990 (all taxes included) across India at all major cities in
the country.
TI Introduces Two HDMI Switches
Texas Instruments (TI) has introduced two new video switches for digital
video interface (DVI) or high definition multimedia interface (HDMI). The new
devices connect either two or three digital video signals coming from devices
such as game consoles, digital video switch boxes, set-top boxes or DVD players
to a single HDTV display. It is compatible with the HDMI 1.3a standard.
Switchable termination resistors (50 ohm) are integrated at each TMDS receiver
input, eliminating the need for external terminations. Both devices share the
same package and pinout allowing customers to easily and quickly develop common
platforms for 3 and 2 HDMI inputs.
LG Launches Shine
LG has announced the India launch of LG Shine, the latest handset in its premium
Black Label series of mobile phones developed on total style. Shine is available
both in a slider phone and bar phone version. The super slim and sleek design
defies its high-tech functionality, which includes a 2 mega-pixel auto focus
camera by Schneider Kreuznach and expandable memory (Micro SD card). Access to
Shine's menu system is by an easy-to-use multi-function scroll key. Shine is
also equipped with a comprehensive media player with multi-codec support (MP3,
WAV, and ACC++) and real spectrum display.
