Texas Intros Power Operational Amplifier
Texas Instruments has introduced a precision power operational amplifier,
which operates on supplies up to 100V and delivers a high output current of
+/-50mA with a 150mA short circuit limit. Additional features include a
fast-acting enable/disable pin referenced to the common pin, which can be
ground. This feature saves power and provides protection for the amplifier and
the load. Also, an output status flag, referenced to the common pin, tells the
user when an overcurrent or thermal overload condition occurs. This allows easy
connection to low-voltage logic circuitry

ZTE's First SDR Base Station
ZTE has launched the ZXGW B8036 SDR base station. The ZXGW B8036 SDR base
station supports GSM and WCDMA simultaneously within software, rather than
requiring separate hardware components like current base stations as well as
providing LTE readiness and a smooth evolution path. It can notably lower
network infrastructure costs for operators while improving network integrity,
continuity and stability. With SDR technology, mobile operators will be able to
extend the lifespan of their network systems, hence decreasing TCO (total cost
of ownership) and significantly lowering investment risks.
New ProCurve Switch 2610 Series
ProCurve Networking has launched the ProCurve Switch 2610 Series of next
generation enterprise edge switches to enable customers to manage and support
applications such as VoIP, unified communications, wireless access points, and
security camera deployments. The ProCurve Switch 2610 Series offers support for
pre-standard legacy PoE equipment to enable wired and wireless deployments of
converged network applications. The standards-based 2610 Series delivers
security features that include Access Control Lists, which allows network
administrators to control both inbound and outbound traffic.

STMicroelectronics' New Nomadik Chipset
STMicroelectronics has introduced a chipset that couples ST's new multimedia
application processor with a companion audio and power-management chip. This
powerful platform raises the bar in mobile multimedia, enabling smart phones and
other portable devices to record and share high-definition video clips, receive
mobile TV, playback days of Hi-Fi music and deliver a state-of-the-art 3D gaming
experience. A key element of the new chipset, ST's Nomadik STn 8820 application
processor, combines distributed high-performance multi-core processing with
ultra-low power consumption.
Ciena's New Ethernet Service Modules
Ciena has announced new G10 and G10X Ethernet Service Modules that deliver layer
2 Ethernet aggregation, switching and transport capabilities as simple
plug-and-play upgrades to the company's CN 4200 FlexSelect Advanced Services
Platform family. The new modules simplify IP/Ethernet service architectures and
optimize the cost and efficiency of network resources by reducing the number of
router ports, metro WDM client ports and wavelengths, and standalone Ethernet
switches-often resulting in capex savings of more than 50%.
