The American company offers all cloud-native, OpenRAN 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G solutions. It holds two R&D facilities in India, inaugurated in May 2013 and are situated in Pune and Bengaluru. Ever-since the business has entered into numerous OpenRAN agreements with telecom providers including Axiata Group, Hotspot, Vodafone, Millicom, and Orange among others.

According to the company's CEO, Steve Papa as reported by Light Reading, Parallel Wireless is downsizing in the light of the current state of the global economy, the limitations of the Covid supply chain, and the rate of adoption of OpenRAN. However, the CEO withheld the precise number of layoffs and refrained from revealing the exact number of workforce that has been fired by the company.

Another Linkedin post by Brain Jasiak, Former Senior Strategic Program Manager at Parallel Wireless read," The majority of Parallel Wireless was laid off today, including myself. I am a positive, forward-thinking person, there's zero value looking back, instead I can't be more excited about what's next." He began working for the company in January of this year.
