Notices to ISPs for Blocking Rival Sites

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued letters to ISPs including Satyam Infoway, HCL InfiNet, Now, Dishnet and IceNet for blocking rival sites. This was done after TRAI received representations from Net4India and Caltiger seeking the regulator's intervention. TRAI has set a deadline of 13 September, 2002 for response from ISPs for this purpose.
