Nokia is penalized for poor customer service in Muzaffarnagar region in Uttar Pradesh. The District Consumer Redressal Forum (DCRF) has imposed a fine of Rs 4,000 on Nokia for providing poor customer services after sales.
Mohammed Ali had filed a complaint, alleging that the company's customer care did not provide proper assistance to him after his handset malfunctioned within the warranty period. The Forum has found Nokia guilty of not providing the customer with an effective after sales service at its service center. The Forum also instructed the company to give either a new handset to the customer or pay him its equivalent price after Ali had complained malfunctioning in his newly-bought handset, reports PTI.
