Nokia launches EMI scheme for Lumia 925

Nokia has launched an EMI scheme for its latest smartphone-Nokia Lumia 925 for Rs 33,499 in India.

Under the scheme, the Lumia 925 amount can be paid in six equal monthly installments at zero per cent rate of interest and no processing fee.

The scheme will be available across select Nokia priority partners and multi branded outlets across the country.

For the scheme, Nokia has tied up with Citibank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Standard Chartered, HSBC, ICICI Bank and SBI Cards for the Easy EMI scheme and the offer will be available to consumers with credit cards (only) from any of these banks.

The banks together have the target consumer base of over 16 million providing Nokia an opportunity to extend the service to a large consumer base.

" Our insight shows that many customers don't end up buying their preferred handset model as it tends to be marginally above their pre decided budget, making upfront payment difficult. Our easy EMI scheme at 0% interest addresses that challenge and will allow customers to actually buy the handset they desire." said Viral Oza, director-marketing, Nokia India.

On 22 August, the company has launched Nokia Lumia 925 a metal design for the first time to the Nokia Lumia range, with the polycarbonate made available in white, grey or black. A wireless charging cover can be clipped onto the back of the phone to take advantage of Nokia's extensive wireless charging accessories and ecosystem.

The Lumia 925 are running on Windows Phone 8. Both phones comes with 175000 apps on the windows store. In addition to 7GB of online SkyDrive storage, the Nokia Lumia 625 has 8GB of in built memory and SD memory card support of up to 64GB, while the Nokia Lumia 925 has 16 GB of internal memory.
