Intel India country head and VP of Intel Foundry Services, Nivruti Rai, quits Intel after 29 years with the company.

After 29 years with the firm, Nivruti Rai, the head of Intel India, has announced her resignation. According to reports, she is anticipated to be in charge of the organisation Invest India. In 1994, Rai began her career at Intel as a design engineer. She served as the director of Intel India and the vice president of Intel Foundry services.

In September 2005, Rai moved to Bengaluru after first working with Intel in the United States from 1994 to 2005, taking up the position of senior director of chipset engineering and intellectual property development.

Intel thanked Nivruti in its statement for the impressive advancements made by Intel India during her leadership. In 2022, Nivruti received the Nari Shakti Puraskar in recognition of her outstanding efforts to empower women.

We’re grateful to Nivruti for the tremendous progress Intel India has made under her leadership. Today, Intel India is our largest engineering site outside the US and a critical talent base for the company. This represents the second significant resignation from Intel's executive team in the past 12 months. Randhir Thakur, the head of the business' foundry services, left Intel in November 2022.
