New Delhi, August 29, 2006: NASSCOM, the premier trade body and “voice”
of the IT software and services industry, has announced that it will host its
annual Quality Summit in Bangalore from 5-7th September 2006. Themed 'Setting
Benchmarks in Global Outsourcing'; the summit will focus on addressing the
present and future quality requirements of the global outsourcing industry. The
three day summit will comprise of 'Tutorials' on day one, followed by an
industry conference, over the next two days.
The NASSCOM Quality Summit 2006 will have keynotes by renowned national and
international experts and will bring together thought leaders from industry,
academia and government for experience and best practice sharing on varied
topics.
The day long 'Tutorials' will cover topics such as 'e-SCM', 'An
Integrated View of Enterprise IT Practices' and 'Personal Productivity
Improvement' among others. The industry conference will include thought
provoking panel discussions on 'Does Too Much Process Stifle Innovation?'
and 'People Factor - Impact of People Quality on Business Value' and
insightful parallel sessions on topics such as 'Process Innovation &
Change Management', 'Excellence in BPO & Beyond', 'Setting the
Quality Standards in BPO' and 'Technology Platforms For Global Delivery
Operations' among others.
Announcing the event Ms. Sangeeta Gupta, Vice President, NASSCOM, said,
“Quality and Innovation will be the key differentiators and growth drivers for
Indian IT-BPO companies, in the future. Indian companies having established
themselves as preferred outsourcing partners globally, are now
redefining/setting global benchmarks in quality to differentiate and attain
