MTS launches 3 smartphones

Sistema Shyam Tele Services (SSTL) which operates under MTS brand name, today launched three Android-based smartphones in the Indian market.

These smartphones will be backed by an integrated communication programme that includes leveraging Out-of-Home (OOH) media, TV commercials, digital media and road shows at top cites in the country.

Priced in the range of Rs 5,499 to Rs 7,499, the smartphones run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and would come bundled with unlimited data plans options.

With, the launch the company now has eight smartphones in its portfolio. "With the launch of these three smartphones, we have now brought four new Android Smartphones in less than two months. MTS now offers a comprehensive range of Android smartphones for discerning, on the move, tech savvy youth," said Leonid Musatov, SSTL Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.

The company will also offer without any charge access to MTS TV for one month from date of activation to its smartphones users without any charge.

SSTL has the spectrum to provide mobile telephony services in all the 22 circles across the country.

Presently SSTL offers mobile telephony services in the Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Bihar as well as the Kolkata circles.The company has cross 16 million users in the country. The company licenses are valid till September 7as the Supreme Court has cancelled 122 licensees in 2G airwaves case this year included 21 of SSTL.
