MTNL slashes broadband tariff

MTNL has slashed its broadband tariffs for home users in Mumbai. MTNL will slash tariffs on 'Home Unlimited Broadband' plans and will also double the speed for current users of these plans. Under the new broadband tariffs, the users can enjoy broadband speed upto 512 kbps at Rs 999, upto 1 Mbps at Rs 1,599, upto 2 Mbps at Rs 3,999 and upto 4Mbps at Rs 9,999. This offer would go into operation from September 2009.MTNL's price reduction plan, is now applicable only for Mumbai circle but will soon be rolled out in Delhi also.
