MTNL Mumbai to Launch Garuda on Dec. 25

After Delhi, the state-owned MTNL is planning to launch it limited mobility (WLL) service in Mumbai on December 25. The launch is being scheduled to coincide with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee's 78th birth day. The launch was earlier scheduled for November but got delayed due to interference problems with the GSM operators. Earlier in September MTNL had launched Garuda service in Delhi. It claims to have 15,000 plus subscribers for the service in Delhi.
