MR to be Instituted to Study BSNL Fixed-line Surrender Cases

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd is in the process of finalising a market research and consultancy company to do an in-depth survey of consumers of its fixed-line services who have surrendred their phones. It is said that allmost 16 lakh BSNL have surrendered their connections. Many of them have actually moved to BSNL's Cellone cellular service, but many havealso shifted to rival phone companies like Bharti's Touchtel or Tata Teleservices.
