Monthly Cellular Additions Falls to 6.47 lakh

The cellular industry added 6.47 lakh subscribers during April which is lower than the 9.31 lakh subscribers added in March. BSNL accounted for more than half of the new additions. The subscriber base stands at 13 million. Some cellular operators overall customer base saw a drop in metros. This includes Idea Cellular, whose subscriber base dropped by 2,614 subscribers in Delhi while RPG Cellular lost 841 susbcribers in
Chennai.
