MNC Set to Go Under Alcatel

Alcatel has signed an agreement to buy MNC, a mobile application service provider (mobile ASP) from Switzerland. With the acquisition of MNC, Alcatel will add to its ability of providing turnkey solutions to the mobile service providers. With MNC's strengths added to its own, Alcatel wil be able to build multimedia service offerings, such as, content delivery through MMS, SMS, Java downloads, and mobile video-based services.
