Mehndiratta Starts Selling for UTStarcom

UTStarcom has appointed Anil Mehndiratta as its director sales and marketing for Saarc countries. He will be based at the Gurgaon office of UTStarcom in India. His responsibilities will include sales in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Maldives. He will report to Ruchir Godura, country manager and director for South Asia operations. 

Mehndiratta has an engineering-MBA background. He has been in the telecom industry for about 15 years in business development, and sales and marketing. His last assignment was at Alcatel, where he was the director and Country Manager (South Asia) for its optical fiber division. Before that, he worked with Qualcomm and was a member of the team that installed the first CDMA system in India in 1996 at
MTNL.
