Max Yang of Huawei returns to China

Max Yang, CEO, Huawei Telecommunications India is returning back to Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

Speaking to Voice&Data, Max Yang, CEO, Huawei Telecommunications India said, ''He would be shifting to the headquarters in the month of February, 2012 and is being replaced by Mr Cai.''

Max Yang spent five years in India and was instrumental in clocking revenues of Rs 5,688 crore in FY 2010-11. He helped the company to have a strong presence in the carrier equipment and handset space. In 2011, the company bagged large 3G orders from many service providers. In the second half of 2011, the company also focused on enterprise equipment in a big way.

In his long stint in India, he also focused on R&D, GNOC, and manufacturing. On the R&D front, the company has plans to invest US $2 billion in 5 years. Recently, Huawei India launched Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC) in Bangalore, India, to provide breakthrough business solutions in India and around the world for global managed services.

The company has aggressive plans for deployment of 4G equipment and is in talks with all the operators and is also looking at setting up a manufacturing base in the country.
